3D Gaming
All PlayStation®3 systems are already equipped with everything you need to play stereoscopic 3D games. Thanks to the latest firmware update available now, the PS3™ system is the only console on the market that can support full stereoscopic 3D gaming – right from your living room, and at no additional charge.
Stereoscopic 3D allows each eye to see a unique image, so the experience is much more like real-life. Plus, stereoscopic 3D on the PS3™ allows more than one person to watch TV at the same time without having to sit in specific spots.
To play 3D games and watch 3D movies, you’ll need to have a 3D HD TV or 3D Ready HDTV and 3D sync transmitter kit, 3D glasses compatible with your TV, and a High Speed HDMI cable (supporting at least 10.2 Gbps).

- Video output in HD requires cables and an HD-compatible display, both sold separately. Copy-protected Blu-ray™ video discs can only output at 1080p using an HDMI cable connected to a device that is compatible with the HDCP standard. HDMI cable not included. Additional equipment may be required to use the HDMI connector.
- A device compatible with Linear PCM 7.1 Ch. is required to output 7.1 Ch. audio, supported by Dolby TrueHD or a similar format, from the HDMI OUT connector. This system does not support output from the DTS-HD 7.1 Ch. DTS-HD 7.1 Ch audio is output from a 5.1 or lower channel.

You’ve always been able to see when your friends were online, now you can find out when they last logged in to PlayStation®Network. That’s pretty exciting. At least for us it is: now we can create an elaborate chart tracking everyone’s schedules to make sure we have optimal teams ready for SOCOM at 1AM. Everyone’s doing it! Or maybe it’s just us.
